Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for weekend shifts at Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL. The position is full-time for 36 hours per week with night hours Friday–Saturday or Saturday–Sunday, 7pm–7:30am, and required holiday coverage on weekends.

Responsibilities include delivering all forms of respiratory care, performing arterial blood gas procedures, and conducting pulmonary function testing across age groups, from neonatal to geriatric, while coordinating with nurses and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school for respiratory therapy.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; IL licensure.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform, teach, and guide respiratory therapy, chest physical therapy, and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
• Assess and treat patients from neonatal to geriatric; involve family in care plan.
• Administer therapies: medical gases, medications via airway, humidity and aerosol therapies; monitor equipment.
• Maintain records in patient charts and respiratory care logs; provide guidance to Respiratory Therapy Techs.
• Ensure department equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with hospital standards.

Education

AMA approved school for respiratory therapy granting eligibility to take N.B.R.C. exams; eligible to be Registered or Certified
