Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Level 2 (Nights) at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. You will provide neonatal to geriatric respiratory care, assess patients, document treatments, and ensure clear communication with families.

Requirements include a CoARC-accredited RT program, RRT or registry eligibility, IL licensure within six months, CPR, and ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months. Per diem with premium pay and weekend/holiday shift expectations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program as determined by CoARC (required).
• RRT credential or registry-eligible status; Illinois licensure within six months of employment.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS, NRP and PALS within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with respiratory therapy procedures as requested.
• Provide respiratory care to neonatal through geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to determine the most appropriate therapy delivery method.
• Document treatments, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities.
• Transcribe verbal or phone orders and communicate treatments clearly to patients and families.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, with focus on pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Educate patients and staff on treatments.
