Job summary

Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for per diem night shifts, 7pm–7am, with hours varying by department needs. Provide respiratory care to neonatal through geriatric patients under physicians, document treatments, monitor responses, educate patients and staff, and transcribe orders per policy.

Must hold IL license as Respiratory Care Practitioner, graduate from a CoARC approved program, and CPR (BLS).

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (required).
• Graduate of a CoARC approved school of respiratory therapy (required).
• CPR (BLS) certification current (required).

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with respiratory therapy procedures.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians per hospital policy.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities; transcribe verbal or phone orders.
• Communicate treatment plan clearly to patients and family; monitor patient responses.
