Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a per diem Level I night shift at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role requires 48 hours every 6 weeks, with 24 weekend hours, and 7pm–7:30am night coverage; days vary Mon–Fri.

Join a team delivering age-diverse respiratory care per hospital policy. You will assess, plan, and administer therapies, document outcomes, and educate patients and families while monitoring neonatal and pediatric responses.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT or registry eligible status.
• Illinois licensure within six months of employment.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• ACLS within 24 months of employment.
• NRP within 24 months of employment.
• PALS within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with respiratory therapy procedures as requested.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities; transcribe orders.
• Communicate treatment to patient and family clearly.
• Monitor patient response to therapy with emphasis on pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.
