Job summary

The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team. The RT will provide weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday) in a skilled nursing setting, assess and treat residents independently, and maintain complete documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory techniques.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and in long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocol; track auditing and caseload.
