Job summary

The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The ideal candidate is licensed in-state, capable of independent assessments and therapies, and ready to provide bedside care in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include initiating therapies, documenting care, operating equipment, and contributing to staff education. Prior experience with tracheotomy and long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed in-state as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification and current state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory therapy for various illnesses in geriatric residents.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, and operates respiratory equipment.
• Performs bedside treatments and conducts quarterly in-services for staff.
• Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and participates in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings is preferred.
