Job summary

Continuum of Care in New Haven is seeking a Part Time Residential Aide to support individuals with daily living activities and skill-building. Weekend shifts Sat/Sun 7am-3pm offer a differential, with base pay at $20.17/hr and weekend rate $21.17/hr.

The role requires compassionate interaction and collaboration with nursing staff. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, transportation, and engagement in community activities, under supervision of program staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CNA or related certification preferred.
• Experience with individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or addiction is desired.
• Valid CT driver's license with clean record required; reliable transportation often needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and provide prompts for living skills.
• Lead group activities and outings; provide companionship and support.
• Monitor medications with nursing staff and maintain shift logs.
• Maintain safe, clean living spaces and report safety issues.
• Document activities and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
