Job summary

Continuum of Care in New Haven is seeking a Residential Aide for the 2nd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM) with a weekend differential of $1/hour, totaling $21.17 per hour. You will assist residents with daily living activities, lead group activities, monitor safety, and coordinate with nursing staff and management to ensure high quality care.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; CT CNA or related certification is accepted; valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year healthcare experience; CNA accepted.
• Experience with individuals with mental illness, ID, or addiction preferred.
• Valid CT Driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office and electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport and professional relationships with clients within ethics and boundaries.
• Assist with activities of daily living and lead teaching/engagement activities.
• Provide hands-on support for personal care, housekeeping, nutrition, and safety.
• Lead or co-facilitate psychoeducational groups and social activities.
• Supervise client medications with nursing staff and document shift logs.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment and participate in meetings and trainings.
