Job summary

Continuum of Care in New Haven, CT is seeking a Residential Aide for the 2nd shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 3 pm–11 pm) with a starting pay of $20.17 per hour and a weekend differential to $21.17. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, providing companionship, and coordinating with licensed nursing personnel to monitor health and medications.

Responsibilities include promoting independence, leading group activities, ensuring safety, and documenting shift progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred.
• Licensed CNA or related certification accepted in lieu of experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification encouraged.
• Valid CT driver''s license required.
• Experience with electronic records and health information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport and provide daily living assistance including personal care and housekeeping.
• Lead group activities and coordinate with nursing staff on medications and health monitoring.
• Provide transportation to appointments and accompany clients as needed.
• Document shift logs and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and a supportive living environment.
