Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Registered Nurse – Physician Practice for a remote weekend day shift (Sat, Sun, Mon, 7am-7:30pm). The RN will support outpatient care in a physician practice, including triage, education, and coordination with physicians and staff.

Requirements include ADN (BSN preferred), 1–2 years ambulatory nursing, and an active RN license with NCLEX-RN. AMB-BC preferred. Sentara offers robust benefits and a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Active RN license; NCLEX-RN passed; AMB-BC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients in person and by phone and coordinate care.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations; provide treatments.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up and continuity of care.
• Support population health outreach and care coordination.
• Document care in the electronic health record consistently.
