Job summary

Sentara Medical Group invites a PRN Registered Nurse to join a physician practice in a remote weekend-day shift. You will provide nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assist with examinations, administer medications, and coordinate referrals while documenting in the EHR.

The role emphasizes triage by phone and in person, population health outreach, and safe, efficient clinic operations. ADN is required; BSN preferred; current RN license and NCLEX-RN complete; AMB-BC preferred.

Qualifications

• Ambulatory nursing experience in a clinic or ambulatory setting.
• Ambulatory care knowledge for chronic disease management, prevention, and immunizations.
• Strong patient education and care coordination.
• Effective telephone and message triage.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients in person and by phone.
