Job summary

Provident Crossings Retirement Community in Round Rock, TX, is seeking a Relief Cook to cover Saturdays and Sundays. You will work in a scratch-based kitchen, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while building positive relationships with residents and staff to foster a warm weekend atmosphere.

Must be 18+, able to work Saturdays/Sundays (8 hours per day), and have basic English. Prior kitchen experience is preferred and food handler permits must be secured within two weeks of start date.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays, at least 8 hours per day.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred.
• Ability to secure food handler permits within two weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables.
• Engage in continuous improvement by sharing ideas and accepting feedback during service.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Keep stations stocked and monitor refrigeration to ensure freshness and appearance.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen by cleaning areas and recording temperatures.
