Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Relief Cook for Evergreen Crossings Retirement Community in South Windsor, CT. You will work Saturdays and Sundays in a scratch-based kitchen, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner while fostering a warm, resident-focused atmosphere.

You should be at least 18, able to read and understand basic English, and willing to obtain required food handler permits within two weeks of your start date. Prior kitchen experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Available to work Saturdays and Sundays, 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• Must secure food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two weeks of first day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing; ensure plates look appealing.
• Contribute ideas during meetings and stay attentive on service line during meals.
• Complete opening and closing tasks for each shift and support teammates for a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations stocked and organized, refresh pantry items, monitor refrigeration.
• Ensure a sanitary kitchen by cleaning areas and recording temperatures for safety and satisfaction.
