GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Hartford-area convenience store. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, oversee customer service, cash handling, and inventory, and lead a team to deliver a high-energy store experience.

The role requires open availability for weekends and holidays, with second or third shifts common. You will drive sales, train staff, and step in as acting manager when needed to ensure smooth store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles in a fast-paced store environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to manage cash handling, deposits, and store finances.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership that motivates the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
