Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for our Physician Practice. The role covers outpatient ambulatory care, triage, education, and care coordination in a remote setting.

You will support physicians, administer immunizations, manage patient messages, and document care in the EHR. The position requires ADN with BSN preferred, 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic experience, an active RN license, NCLEX, BLS, and AMB-BC preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Current state RN license; NCLEX-RN; BLS; AMB-BC preferred.
• Ambulatory care nursing with triage, chronic disease management, immunizations.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and population health outreach.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Manage patient messages and results within scope.
• Support prevention and population health outreach.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked clinical environment.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
