Job summary

Sentara Medical Group in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for the Physician Practice. This remote weekend day shift position (Sat, Sun, Mon 7am-7:30pm) supports outpatient care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic, performing triage, procedures assistance, medication administration, and patient education.

The RN will document in the EHR, coordinate referrals and follow-up, and contribute to population health outreach.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Current state RN license and NCLEX-RN completed.
• Ambulatory care nursing, chronic disease management, and immunizations knowledge.
• Proficient in documenting care in the EHR.
• Strong patient education and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic.
• Assess patients, assist with procedures and examinations.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up and continuity of care.
