Job summary

Firstsource Healthcare is seeking a FT Patient Financial Advocate (Weekends Only) to screen patients on-site for eligibility assistance programs, delivering information and progress updates to client contacts.

The role requires bedside screening when possible, with documentation in the hospital system and coordination with the Patient Advocate team. Must have 1–3 years in medical billing/coding or related fields and reliable transportation for onsite coverage.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients on-site at hospitals for eligibility assistance programs either bedside or in the ER.
• Initiate the application process bedside when possible and document results in tracking tools.
• Record all patient information on the in-house screening sheet and hospital system.
