WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and ensure a safe, clean environment to support family-centered care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire; weekend availability is noted. Prior patient care experience is preferred, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Formación

• BLS or HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in direct patient care by providing basic physical care under RN supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed-making.
• Transport patients and specimens following safety policies.
• Perform glucose monitoring, urine/stool testing, and maintain QC logs where allowed.
• Perform routine phlebotomy (excluding line draws) per management.
• Record vital signs and intake/output according to policy.
• Provide respiratory support and assist with examinations.
• Communicate patient concerns to the RN promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and equipment.
• Support unit operations and answer calls/messages timely.
