Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a dedicated CNA to support patient care on the unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, basic physical care, and monitoring vital signs under RN supervision.

The role includes transporting patients, helping with examinations, and ensuring a safe, clean environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS/HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care with basic physical care as directed by RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed-making.
• Transport patients and specimens per policy and escort for discharge.
• Perform glucose monitoring, urine and stool testing and maintain logs where allowed.
• Perform routine phlebotomy excluding line draws.
• Record vital signs and assist with nutrition and dressing changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and report equipment issues.
• Assist in routine unit operations and answer calls.
