Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, transport patients, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS/HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire. Prior patient care experience is preferred for this on-site night-shift position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Help patients with activities of daily living and bed-making.
• Safely transport patients and specimens as needed.
• Perform routine tests and basic phlebotomy per policy.
• Record vitals and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to RN promptly.
• Assist with examinations and basic rehab activities.
