Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will support activities of daily living, monitor vitals, assist with tests, and help with patient transport and discharge in a busy ICU setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision and obtain BLS/HeartSaver within 30 days of hire.
• Preference given to candidates with prior patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic physical care.
• Transports patients and specimens according to policy and supports discharge.
• Perform routine testing and vitals documentation per department policy.
• Provide respiratory support and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and communicate changes to the RN.
