Job summary

Lotus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, FL is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor. The role combines direct nursing care with overall supervision of nursing staff during evenings and night shifts to maintain staffing and quality of care.

You will coordinate with physicians and care teams, ensure accurate census and documentation, and oversee safe patient transfers and discharge planning. RN required with 2+ years of supervisory experience is preferred.

This position is specifically for the evening and night shifts with the primary responsibility of overall supervision and management of all nursing staff in the facility. Another primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, ensure the facility meets the minimum staffing levels for nurses and nurse aides; complete required posting of nursing staff data as required.Ensuring that each resident who experiences a significant change in status is assessed using the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.Ensure that all resident rooms, common areas, treatment areas and nurse’s stations are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.Verify resident census accuracy and report new admissions, discharges, leaves of absence and bed-holds per facility policies; document census as established for billing and clinical purposes.Assist with safe and orderly resident transfers and discharges in accordance with facility policies.Audit nursing documentation in the clinical record for appropriate and relevant entries.Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.Communicate with primary care physician and members of the comprehensive care planning team regarding the status of residents; follow up on critical labs, order requests and physician notifications.Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• RN required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation review.
• Experience in shift management and scheduling preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
