• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information with discretion
• Familiarity with medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties to support general administration of the floor or unit
• Greets and assists patients, families, visitors, and coworkers professionally
• Receives, prioritizes, organizes, and manages information at the central nursing station and throughout the unit
• Schedules consultations, tests, procedures, and patient transport to other departments
• Enters accurate information into the electronic medical record for admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Contacts ancillary service departments to obtain equipment, services, and supplies; tracks status and location
