Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking an Experienced Clinical Nurse for the Float Pool on weekends, with a full-time schedule covering nights and days. The nurse delivers high-quality, evidence-based care for an assigned patient group and coordinates with the multidisciplinary team to meet patient outcomes.

The role requires NLN-accredited nursing education, a current Illinois RN license, and BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher.
Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
Oral, listening and written communication skills.
Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.
Experience in a specific clinical area (preferred).
Nursing specialty certification, if eligible (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of patients.
Advocate for patient-centered care and coordinate nursing plans.
