Job summary
Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital are seeking a Registered Nurse Weekend Float for full-time night shifts. The RN coordinates care for acutely ill patients, uses critical thinking, and collaborates with the health care team to ensure safe, outcomes-focused nursing.
Required: BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years, Illinois RN license, BLS, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong analytic abilities.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, and plans care.
- Directs care and utilizes assistants when appropriate.
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
- Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
- Documents responses and evaluates nursing interventions.
- Uses evidence to guide practice decisions.
