Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Registered Nurse Weekend Float for full-time night shifts at Kishwaukee Hospital and Valley West Hospital in Illinois. The nurse will coordinate and deliver care, collaborate with the health team, and ensure adherence to policies and ANA standards.

Requires BSN/ADN with BSN commitment, IL RN license, BLS, and strong interpersonal and analytic skills; ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC preferred for certain units.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, and develops an individualized plan.
• Directs care and coordinates any assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff and documents plan of care.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plan.
• Uses current evidence, including research findings, to guide practice.
