Job summary

Marvin is hiring a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on production machines, including PLC programming changes. The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before moving to the Weekend shift.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a related role
• Associate degree in technical field preferred
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and plan maintenance
• Proficient in ladder logic programming (Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/5000)
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the workorder system (EAM)
• Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
• Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with technical staff
• Maintain backups of programs for electrical devices
• Check newly installed equipment under operating conditions
• Set up servo controls and VFD operations and parameters
• Operate and troubleshoot Servo, DC, and induction motors
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements
• Use a digital multimeter for measurements
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting and PLC support
• Document set-points and parameters clearly
