Job summary

Marvin seeks a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair production machines, focusing on PLCs, electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires ladder logic proficiency with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000 and familiarity with EAM documentation across the plant.

You will train on day shift for up to two months before transitioning to the Weekend shift, with a compensation range of $28.00–$42.00 per hour plus a $3 shift differential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a closely related role
• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred
• Forklift and aerial platform licenses required
• Experience with EAM software and MS Office productivity tools

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment operation to detect hazards and determine service needs.
• Proficient in ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM system.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with technical staff.
• Maintain backups of PLC programs and device parameters.
• Evaluate new equipment under operating conditions.
• Set up servo controls and VFDs; operate various motors.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems with maintenance and provide PLC support.
• Record set-points and parameters clearly
