Job summary

Marvin is hiring a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair production machines, including PLCs, electrical, and mechanical systems. The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before switching to the Weekend shift, with Fri-Sun 6:00am–6:00pm.

Qualifications

2 years experience in a closely related role
Associate’s degree in a technical-related field strongly preferred
Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
Enterprise Asset Management software experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
Proficiently use ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
Document repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the plant using the workorder system (EAM).
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
Set up servo controls (open/closed loop) and VFD operations.
Provide PLC support across the plant and assist with electrical problem troubleshooting.
Concisely document set-points and parameters for equipment.
