Job summary

Marvin, a family-owned window and door company, is hiring a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production equipment. The role includes PLC programming with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/5000, motor and servo control troubleshooting, and documentation in the EAM system, with a Friday–Sunday 6:00am–6:00pm schedule.

Training on day shift for up to 2 months is provided before transitioning to the Weekend shift.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Enterprise Asset Management software experience and ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and service needs.
• Proficiently use ladder logic with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the plant using EAM.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Maintain backups of PLC programs and check new equipment performance.
• Set up servo controls and variable frequency drive parameters.
• Troubleshoot motors including servo, DC, and induction motors.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.
• Provide PLC-support across the plant.
