Job summary

Marvin is hiring a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production equipment. You will diagnose faults, program Allen-Bradley PLCs, and document repairs in the EAM system while coordinating with CEPG for machine improvements.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, a forklift license, and the ability to work on the weekend shift as scheduled. Marvin offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in a closely related role is required.
Associate’s degree in a technical field is strongly preferred.
Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Observe installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
Proficiently use ladder logic programming with RSLogix 500/5000 on Allen-Bradley platforms.
Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the work order system (EAM).
Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
Back up programs from electrical devices and evaluate system performance under operating conditions.
Assist with PLC support across the plant and collaborate with CEPG on improvements.
