Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician in Kansas City, KS. The role involves advanced troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production machinery. Training on day shift for up to 2 months precedes a weekend shift, with a Friday–Sunday schedule from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Applicants should have 2 years in a related role, an associate degree, and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial licenses. Wages are competitive with shift differential offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues on production equipment.
• Analyze equipment to identify faults and perform repairs.
• Maintain PLC program backups and update set-points and parameters.
• Document repairs and generate work orders in the system (EAM).
• Operate basic servo controls and VFDs; set up drive parameters.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.
• Use digital multimeter for electrical testing.
