Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC problems on production equipment in their Kansas City area plant. The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning to the Weekend shift, with a listed schedule of Friday–Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm.

Responsibilities include using RS Logix 500/5000, maintaining backups of programs, and collaborating with CEPG on machine improvements.

Qualifications

• 2-years experience in a closely related role is required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Enterprise Asset Management software experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are expected.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and determine service or replacement needs for electrical/mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC problems on production equipment.
• Utilize ladder logic programming with Allen-Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the EAM system.
• Set up servo drives and perform basic motor troubleshooting on servo, DC, and induction motors.
