Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues on production machines. The role involves ladder logic programming (Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000), servo control, and maintaining PLC backups. Training on day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning to the weekend shift is provided.

Competitive benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus are offered. Work location is Kansas City, KS; schedule Fridays through Sundays, 6:00am–6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a related role is required.
• Forklift and aerial platform licenses must be obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and service needs; repair electrical, mechanical, or PLC components.
• Troubleshoot using ladder logic and Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the work order system (EAM).
• Set up and adjust servo controls and variable frequency drives; monitor performance.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements and provide PLC support across the plant.
