Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on production machines, including PLC adjustments and RSLogix programming. The role trains on days for up to 2 months before switching to a weekend shift, with a salary that reflects experience and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience required.
• Associate's degree strongly preferred.
• Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and the need for service, repair, or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Repair electrical and mechanical components and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the EAM system.
• Use ladder logic programming with RSLogix 500/5000 on Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Manage basic servo controls and set up VFD operations and parameters.
• Troubleshoot motors including servo, brushed DC, and induction motors.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements and provide PLC support.
• Keep device program backups and verify system performance under operating conditions.
