Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production machines, including PLC programming changes for reliability. The role trains on day shift for up to two months, then transitions to a weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role is required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and determine need for service, repair or replacement.
• Proficiently use ladder logic programming with RS Logix 500/5000 on Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the work order system (EAM).
• Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Set up and adjust servo controls and VFD parameters; troubleshoot various motors.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements and support PLC requirements.
