Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair production machines, including PLCs, electrical, and mechanical systems. The role emphasizes ladder logic, RS Logix, and servo control setup, with plant-wide collaboration to improve equipment performance.

Training on day shift for up to 2 months before moving to the Weekend shift; benefits include health insurance from day one, PTO, holidays, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field strongly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Observe installed equipment to detect hazards and needs for service or replacement.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment and PLCs.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the workorder system (EAM).
• Traces problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Configure servo controls, open/closed loop systems, and VFD parameters.
• Perform basic motor operation and troubleshooting on servo, DC, and induction motors.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.
• Maintain backups of PLC programs and set-points for equipment.
