Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues across production equipment. The role emphasizes PLC programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000, servo control, and coordinating with the CEPG for machine improvements.

The position trains on day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning to the Weekend shift. The ideal candidate will have 2 years in a related role, an associate degree in a technical field, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

2 years of experience in a closely related role is required.
Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
Enterprise Asset Management software experience and ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems; modify programming as needed.
Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the plant ERP/EAM system.
Use ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
Operate and troubleshoot servo motors, DC motors, and induction motors.
Set up and monitor VFD operations and parameters.
