Job summary

Pathways Healthcare seeks a Weekend Baylor RN to provide in-home nursing care to patients in Cranston, Fall River and surrounding areas. The role is full-time, 30 hours per weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) with 8:30 AM–8:00 PM weekend coverage. Main office in Westwood, MA, and service area includes Cranston.

Experience in geriatrics is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Preferably 2+ years of nursing experience, geriatrics focus.
• Excellent bedside manners and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
• Maintain current BLS CPR certification.
• Possess a valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Initiates preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient status changes.
• Responds to incoming calls during afterhours (Weekends 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM).
• Assesses patients’ needs through triaging and in-home care.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary team to contribute a strong Plan of Care for each patient.
• Responds to inquiries and concerns from patients, caregivers, and medical team.
• Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.

Job Description:

• Salary: Commensurate with Experience
• Main Office location: Westwood, MA
• Service Area: Cranston, Fall River and surrounding territories
• Schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon - 30 hours per weekend - 3 ten-hour days.

• Responds promptly to incoming calls during afterhours. (Weekends 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM)
• Assesses patient’s needs through triaging and providing in-home care when needed.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary team to contribute a strong Plan of Care for each patient.
• Responds to inquiries and concerns from patients, their caregivers, and their medical team.
• Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.
