Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Customer Sales & Service Representative to build profitable relationships with customers and provide information on products and services. You will handle inquiries via phone, email, and other channels, source the most profitable products, and work with suppliers to meet delivery dates.

As part of the sales team, you will review open orders, communicate disruptions, and help drive orders from quotes to shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service within a manufacturing/distribution setting.
• Ability to source profitable products and coordinate with suppliers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Professionally handle customer requests to resolve issues promptly and thoroughly.
• Receive requests via phone, email, fax, EDI, walk-in customers and from sales associates.
• Recommend and source profitable products using available inventory and supplier stock.
• Review open orders and quotes to ensure on-time responses, shipments, and conversion to orders.
• Communicate service disruptions, approvals, corrective actions, feedback, and preventative actions to management.
• Balance policy with customer benefit in decision making.
