Placements24 is seeking a passionate Wedding & Function Catering Coordinator to manage and execute catering for weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations in the Paarl region. The role combines on-site event coordination with remote planning tasks to ensure flawless service.

You will work closely with clients from initial consultation to event day, developing menus, coordinating staff, and liaising with venues and vendors to deliver memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in event coordination, catering sales, or related hospitality role.
• Proven experience in weddings and functions is desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with event management software is a plus.
• Passion for food, events, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Must be able to commute to and work on-site in Paarl, Western Cape.
• A tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or Marketing is advantageous.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Wedding & Function Catering Coordinator to manage and execute exceptional catering services for events in the beautiful Paarl region. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every wedding, corporate function, and private celebration is a culinary success. You will work closely with clients from the initial consultation through to the event day, ensuring their vision is brought to life with delicious food and flawless service. This hybrid role involves on-site coordination and some remote administrative and planning tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of catering operations, and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.
