Job summary

Moraine Valley Community College is seeking a Web Services Manager to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of college web applications, including the intranet. You will guide planning, governance, and systems design across enterprise web services while coordinating with IT colleagues and consultants.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of web development leadership, strong knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress, and experience with Microsoft 365/Power Platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Three to five years’ web development experience required.
• Three to five years’ experience leading a technical team.
• Demonstrated track record of performance and achievement in web development and implementation management.
• In-depth familiarity with technology applications, software and development tools, including programming languages, utilities, system design, and coding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining web applications.
• Oversee intranet application assessment and implementation of new capabilities.
• Provide leadership in system analysis, design and implementation of college web systems.
• Develop plans and procedures for operation of the Web Services area and related improvements.
• Train and evaluate personnel; recruit, promote, and terminate staff as needed.
• Monitor progress with project/tracking systems and adjust resources during emergencies.
