Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking a Senior Web Content Administrator to lead the website and intranet content, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and effective information architecture. This role serves as the CMS lead and mentors student workers and staff across the college.

You will work directly in HTML/CSS when needed, conduct user research, and guide content contributors with training and quality reviews to sustain high standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum three years of online content and digital communications experience.
• Minimum two years coordinating web communication projects.
• Strong HTML/CSS coding in a CMS context.
• Experience with image manipulation (Photoshop/Illustrator).
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
• Proven experience leading project teams and training contributors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior content authority for the website and intranet.
• Structure site navigation and design pages using CMS tools with HTML/CSS.
• Co-administer the CMS, manage permissions and workflows.
• Conduct user research and translate analytics into navigation/content improvements.
• Maintain SEO and accessibility standards; audit ROT content.
• Onboard and mentor campus content contributors; review work.
