Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Lead (BCL) to advance water resource planning within the Water Business Group. You will mentor teams, drive delivery excellence, and align staff to meet project goals. The role involves collaborating with market sector directors and HDR peers to grow the business and ensure high-quality outcomes across complex projects. The position emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and client-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading plan formulation for Federal clients (e.g., USACE PR&G) is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to successful project outcomes.
• Strong communication and listening skills are essential.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage priorities.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture and collaboration is required.

Responsibilities

• Foster a quality culture through project delivery excellence and staff coaching; serve as QC lead and technical lead on projects.
• Lead or support standards, guidelines, tools, checklists, and workflows to enhance service quality.
• Engage in tactical planning with HDR teams to align initiatives with market drivers and client needs; assist in recruiting key positions.
• Collaborate with client-facing and marketing staff to track qualifications and project approaches; lead or contribute to pursuits.
