Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent with a Water/Wastewater background to lead field operations in Brevard County and Indian River County, FL.

The role focuses on directing daily on-site activities and ensuring project alignment with schedule and budget. You will supervise self-perform mechanical, yard piping and concrete crews, coordinate permits and inspections, maintain safety, QA/QC, document control, and manage subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising water/wastewater projects.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Current training as Competent Person in Trenching, Scaffolds, Rigging, Confined Space, Fall Protection.
• OSHA 10-hour, First Aid & CPR, SWPPP Inspector, silica, Risk Management and Accident training.
• Track record of completing multi-million-dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily on-site activities of field personnel on water/wastewater projects.
• Lead self-perform mechanical, yard piping and concrete crews.
• Ensure safety policy is administered and workplace is safe.
• Coordinate permits and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain field document control and daily reports.
• Manage subcontract coordination and jobsite hiring.
