Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a Water/Wastewater background for the Brevard County & Indian River County, FL area.

You will oversee the project from estimating/pre-construction through completion, focusing on safety, owner satisfaction, cost, schedule, and quality control. The ideal candidate has five plus years in engineering, construction, or related field, with a relevant degree, excellent communication, and a proven track record delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Water/wastewater construction experience.
• Five+ years of experience in engineering, construction, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing self-perform crews preferred.
• Proven success delivering multimillion-dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with client/owner, architect, and engineer.
• Maintain a positive image with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
• Partner with Preconstruction regarding value engineering and estimating help.
• Set up and maintain project cost accounting.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, cost reports and job progress weekly.
• Visit jobsites regularly to review progress and safety.
• Manage change orders and contract compliance.
