Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent with a water/wastewater background to lead field personnel on projects in Brevard & Indian River County, FL. The role emphasizes safety, owner satisfaction, schedule, cost, and quality control.

Compensation starts at $135,200+ annually, with performance bonuses twice a year and a comprehensive benefits package including a company vehicle, health insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of total construction experience.
• Minimum of the most recent 5+ years as a Superintendent (required).
• Candidates must currently be working in water/wastewater.
• Senior Superintendent Level 15–20 years of total construction experience (20+ preferred).
• Minimum of the most recent 10+ years as a Superintendent (required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and safety on site.
• Manage short-term scheduling and resources (manpower/equipment).
• Coordinate permits and inspections.
• Oversee field documents, reports and progress photos.
• Direct subcontract coordination and jobsite hiring as needed.
• Ensure contractual knowledge is applied to daily field work.
