Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent with a water background to supervise field personnel on water and wastewater treatment plant projects in the Treasure Coast region (Palm Bay to Port St. Lucie, FL).

The role emphasizes safety, quality, scheduling, and regulatory coordination. Responsibilities include daily site supervision, subcontract coordination, permit inspections, and timely project reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising water or wastewater projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Current training as Competent Person in Trenching, Scaffolds, Rigging, Confined Space and Fall Protection.
• OSHA 10-hour, First Aid & CPR, SWPPP Inspector, silica, Risk Management and Accident training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the project to ensure a safe workplace and administer safety policy.
• Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Short-term scheduling including manpower and equipment resources.
• Coordinate permit and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain field document control and daily reports.
• Capture progress photographs and manage material handling.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site hiring as required.
• Prepare As-Built drawings and participate in post-construction reviews.
• Manage small tools and ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organized jobsite.
