Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking an experienced construction Project Engineer to work on-site with the project team for industrial facilities including water/wastewater treatment plants and related facilities.

You will plan, develop, coordinate, and manage on-site construction engineering activities, interfacing with multiple disciplines to maintain schedules and quality. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years of heavy industrial project

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead a team of varied disciplines.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities for industrial projects.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with company standards and project schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support in planning, design interpretation, and construction methods.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures and controlling documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting materials, subcontractor/vendor payments).
• Represent company in meetings with A/E, client and project management teams.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve issues and maintain project schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development for the project.
• Assist Superintendent to control costs and production budgets; prepare monthly cost and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate, price and assist in settlement of change orders and claims.
