Job summary

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, seeks a Project Engineer to plan, develop and manage onsite construction engineering activities for industrial projects, primarily water/wastewater plant work in the Fort Wayne market.

The role emphasizes coordinating with project teams, ensuring schedule adherence, and providing technical support across planning, design, and field operations. Onsite work with a focus on quality and safety is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent training.
• 2–3 years of similar construction engineering experience in heavy industrial projects.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; contractibility reviews, etc.
